The ascent is gradual and steady, making the climb very enjoyable. The way back is very scenic but includes a more demanding descent. Valvasorjev dom is excellent – great food, welcoming atmosphere, and very friendly staff. In winter and snowy conditions microspikes/chains are a must.

Fantastic view of the valley

After about 4 km, you reach the gorge, for which you have to pay an entrance fee. In our case, it was €15 for a specific time slot. You can book the time slot online (preferably in advance). The gorge is very beautiful, but also touristy. It's great for children, with an audio guide. It's a very easy hike.

The panoramic trail alone is worth the effort. Be sure to check opening hours!

Unfortunately, there's no visibility anymore. The path is quite nice, but is only suitable as a connecting path.
