Historical bridge - "Donkey Bridge" The small bridge is located between Glashütten and Steinberg and leads over the Nidder. According to oral tradition, the name of the bridge comes from the donkeys that used to walk the way to the Igelhäuser mill and back over the bridge with heavy loads on their backs. The bridge was also often used by the villagers to get to Bornplatz in front of the Scheidwald, where they fetched water. You can find out more about the bridge on an information board on the "Eisenpfad", right next to the bridge.

The tourist information office was closed when we arrived. Nevertheless, there were plenty of flyers on hiking, cycling and camping available. There is a brochure stand in front of the office door. We had been in contact by email a few days before. Everything was answered very quickly and in a friendly manner.
