October 13, 2026, Bunkeranlage der BAS 31

The coastal artillery battery BAS 31 was built east of Ustronie Morskie (Henkenhagen) in 1954. It was part of the Polish coastal defense during the Cold War and was intended to repel enemy warships. It was equipped with four 130-mm naval guns, a radar system, and camouflaged reinforced concrete bunkers. The facility was designed for 98 soldiers. Due to the further development of missile weapons, coastal artillery lost importance, so the battery was decommissioned in 1974. In the 1980s, the area was still under military supervision before it later became accessible to the public.
