The "Koźlak" mill in Sulmierzyce

Highlight • Monument

The windmill was built in 1795. This date appears on its flour beam. The owner of the windmill was Jakub Kokot. In 1891 the building was renovated. Due to the fact that this date was placed on the pad under the bearberry, it can be assumed that it was then dismantled, perhaps even moved from another place. The last owner of the wind mill was Roman Gendziorowski. Currently, this facility is owned by the city authorities.

Pogrzybów Palace

Highlight • Historical Site

Palace from the mid-18th century
It was rebuilt twice, in 1848 by the owners of Pogrzybów Niemojewski.
For the second time at the beginning of the 20th century, when the Prussian Colonization Commission adopted a school.
Pogrzybów is mentioned under the name Grzybowo before 1213 as the property of the monastery in Ołobok.
In the 14th century the owners were Pogrzybowcy and in 1612 Dażbog Karnkowski.
The property remained in the hands of the Karnkowski family until 1833, before it was transferred to the Skórzewski family, including Walenty Skórzewski, a colonel of the Polish army.
Then it belonged to the Niemojowski family.
From 1884, Pogrzybów was in the hands of the Prussian Colonization Commission, then it was parceled out.
At the beginning of the 20th century, another reconstruction was made to adapt it to a school. The facades are plastered with a chained architectural detail. Until recently, as the property of the Raszków commune, it was used as apartments, and the condition of the building left much to be desired. In 2018, the modernization of the palace and its adaptation into a cultural institution began. The designer of the reconstruction is Władysław Podonowski.

Air-raid Shelter in Lamki

Highlight • Monument

The bunker in Lamki - it is actually an Anti-Aircraft Rift, it is located in the forest about one meter from the dirt road.
Information obtained from local residents leads to the conclusion that the rift was built by the Germans in order to hold the lines of the Russians going west. There are apparently two more such gaps in the area, one at the Orlen base and the other at the coal depot.
Such a crack was only equipped with technical and sanitary equipment, so it only served as a shelter during the raid, perhaps there was some light infrastructure in the forest that served some production facilities.

Saint Matthias, to whom this church was dedicated, is one of the twelve apostles from the inner circle of Jesus' disciples. However, unlike the others, he was not called to this office by Jesus himself. After Jesus was handed over by Judas Iscariot and the subsequent crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the eleven remaining apostles prayed for the Holy Spirit and elected a new twelfth apostle. The lot fell on Matthias, as reported in the "Acts of the Apostles" of the New Testament (Acts 1: 15-26). His memorial day is May 14. He is buried in the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Matthias in Trier (Germany), which is the only apostle's grave north of the Alps, and a number of Saint Matthias Brotherhoods (SMB) make regular pilgrimages there.
