St. Catherine's Chapel is the oldest freestanding chapel in Poland, located 2 km from the village of Kurzacze. The parish church of St. Władysław was built from 1625 to 1642, funded by the then parish priest, Father Szymon Koch. The church was consecrated by Bishop Z. Czyżowski on October 8, 1656. The building has three naves, with the central nave raised above the side aisles. The chancel has a semicircular arch. Among the furnishings are the noteworthy 17th-century main altar and 19th-century side altars, crafted from sandstone by local stonemasons. The pulpit and baptismal font were constructed in the 17th century. A brick bell tower, designed by Wojciech Gerson in 1896, stands adjacent to the church. The old body of the church was completely incorporated into the mass of the new temple. The three-bay main nave was based on the outline of the old external walls. They were partly used to form the pillars separating it from the new side aisles. In this way, a three-nave, three-bay, basilica-like body was created, preceded by a quadrangular tower on the west, with a hall and a storeroom adjoining it on the south, and a funeral chapel on the north. The single-bay presbytery was closed by the architect with a semicircular apse, placing a sacristy and a room for the brotherhood next to it on the north. On the south side of the presbytery, the architect designed a chapel, which is covered by a dome with a lantern. This chapel received a corridor connection with the sacristy, running around the apse from the outside in an arc.
