There's a fairly long climb up to St. Anne's Mountain, and you can descend through nearby forests toward Opole (or Kamień Śląski, to be precise).

The former Auschwitz sub-camp in Sławięcice near Blachownia Śląska was the largest of the camp branches, operating since April 1944 at a synthetic fuel factory. Surrounded by a concrete wall with barbed wire, it included 25 wooden barracks and a small crematorium. Prisoners, mostly Jews, worked on building roads, shelters and removing unexploded ordnance after air raids. Almost 200 people died in the camp, and about 800 were shot during the evacuation in January 1945.

The castle of the bishops of Wrocław in Ujazd is the extensive ruins of a former fortress and palace, whose origins date back to the 13th century. The building has been rebuilt many times – from a Gothic fortress, through a Renaissance palace, to a Baroque magnate residence. After the destruction in 1945, the castle remained in ruins, but in recent years its remains have been secured and a viewing terrace has been made available. It is located in the center of Ujazd, near the market square, and access by road bike is convenient thanks to the asphalt streets. It is an interesting place for lovers of history and architecture, ideal for a short stop and sightseeing.

The castle in Toszek is a partially reconstructed fortress from the 15th century, now serving as a local cultural center. The origins of the site date back to a medieval stronghold from the time of the regional fragmentation, and its turbulent history includes destruction by the Hussites, a Renaissance reconstruction, and a fire in 1811. The castle was in the hands of many families, including the Rederns, Colonnas, and Eichendorffs. It is now open to visitors, and its tower and dungeons are the main attractions.
