The Monument to Independence, sculpted by M. Lubelski, was unveiled on November 12, 1933, in Pabianice. The monument owes its existence to the numerous sacrifices of the Pabianice community, who wished to commemorate the joyous fact of the Fatherland's liberation from the shackles of partitioners and Bolsheviks in 1920. This monument was erected in the place where insurgents, including many city residents, were quartered in the summer of 1863. In the same place, on December 10, 1905, in a huge demonstration, the people of Pabianice demanded freedom and independence, and in October 1914, the first unit of legionaries stopped in Pabianice, and the "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" was played. In this place, the first Pabianice unit of the Polish army, under the command of Antoni Jankowski, a lieutenant from Pabianice, took an oath of allegiance to the Republic of Poland in December 1918. What did this monument look like? On its pedestal stood a vigilant legionary, at whose feet lay shattered border posts. On the walls were placed the face of Marshal Józef Piłsudski and the names of those from Pabianice, called the Eagles of Pabianice, who gave their lives for the Fatherland between 1914-20. These were the names of fallen scouts, students, workers, and intellectuals. On November 15, 1939, the Germans blew it up as part of their campaign to eradicate Polishness.

Old water (or steam) valves, which most likely come from the former power plant that supplied electricity to the Pawelana plant. Five several-meter-long steel structures consisting of post-factory parts that were dismantled from the old power plant hall when it was transformed into the Pawelana concert hall. Pipes, valves, and steam compressor station knobs once served in the factory

Lipowa Street featured in Andrzej Wajda's 1974 film "The Promised Land". The street was restored in 2013.

First of all, it is the only street that crosses Zamkowa Street, although it does not actually cross it. Secondly: although it is tightly built-up, there is no point in looking for a building on this street in the address book. Thirdly: its name is absurdly inappropriate for its appearance. Fourthly: it is a street that played an outstanding role in a feature film (The Promised Land), and in such a way that it went down in the history of Polish, and probably also world cinematography. (Quote from the book dedicated to Zamkowa Street, edited by K. Brzeziński and A. Gramsz)
