A great marathon runner from J-L (unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer), with a record in the Guinness Book of Records. An extraordinary figure known in the running community. The legend of Polish running.

When leaving the Nila Bridge on the bypass - slow down at the ul. Wrocławska (turn towards Kamieniec Wr.), because drivers of former cars often force the right of way here.

Spectacular palace modelled after the Postdam Roccoco masterpiece, Schloss Sanssouci. Its construction was started in 1765 by the Prussian General, Friedrich Wilhelm von Seydlitz-Kurzbach, interrupted after his death in 1773 and only completed in 1784 by his daughter, Wilhelmine. After WWII it housed the local state-owned collective farm, but retained some of its former glory hosting functions, balls, New Years Eve parties and renting rooms to newly-weds. A dry moat separates the palace from a sizeable but desperately overgrown landscape park. Within it there is an attractive Gothic Revival chapel from 1873, now serving as a church.
