Beautiful market square. Very well-kept and clean. We also have restaurants, bars, and an ice cream parlor at our disposal. A good place for a short break.☺️

The Goczałkowice dam was built between 1950 and 1955 on the Vistula River, and its creation led to the formation of the Goczałkowice Lake – one of the largest artificial reservoirs in southern Poland. The main task of the dam is the water supply for Upper Silesia and flood protection. The earth-fill dam itself is about 2.98 km long and 14 m high.

The brine graduation tower in Rybnik (Paruszowiec) – a great stopping point and destination for a trip! The facility has the form of an impressive, wooden rotunda, around which a healthy aerosol from brine from Zabłocie (rich in iodine and bromine) floats. The place is perfectly adapted for cyclists: you will find dedicated bike racks, smooth asphalt paths, and plenty of benches in the shade. Right next to it, there is a picturesque pond with a viewing pier and a park playground. An ideal place to rest, catch your breath (literally!), and regenerate your strength in the middle of the route. The supra-regional cycling route from Rybnik towards Żory and Czerwionka-Leszczyny runs right next to it.

I advise avoiding it by a wide margin. Absolutely do not plan a route through this tunnel. The tunnel is long, narrow, and full of puddles and mud, and there hasn't been any significant rainfall recently. Maybe if there were African heat for a month, it would be possible to get through it.

I was driving from Oświęcim, the loop around Lake Papry is a must, plus you also have to see a few attractions along the way: Promnice Hunting Lodge, Hotel Piramida...
