The historic parish church of St. John the Baptist consists of two parts: a brick sacristy from 1535 and the main wooden part from 1730 (rebuilt in the 19th century) and renovated after World War II[9]. The church is equipped with three neo-Baroque altars and a pulpit from the beginning of the second half of the 18th century. To the north-east of the church is a wooden belfry from the 18th century. The facility is located on the Ciechanowska Loop of the Wooden Treasures of Mazovia tourist trail.

In the village there is a wooden parish church of St. Isidore from 1840, moved from Janów in the years 1936-1938, at that time the construction works of the church were supervised by Father Kazimierz Gwiazda, vicar from Przasnysz, and the temple was consecrated by his uncle, Father Józef Piekut. On September 1, 1938, the parish of St. Andrew Bobola was established by Archbishop Antoni Julian Nowowiejski. After the war, a belfry (1966-1969) and a stone fence were built[8].

The church was built in 1772–1774, oriented, of log construction. A wide projection is added to the nave from the west, housing the main porch in the lower part and a choir in the upper part. The presbytery is closed straight, narrower than the nave, with a sacristy and porch on its sides. Gable roofs, partially covered with shingles with a bell tower above the nave. Three-nave interior with a flat ceiling. Inside, the main altar from the end of the 18th century, the council altar and two side altars, a rood beam with an 18th-century Baroque crucifix. The church walls are covered with Art Nouveau polychrome, probably by Józef Mehoffer. The entire interior is completed by a late Baroque pulpit from 1778. The church has not been used for several years, due to the construction of a new brick temple in 2000–2009, but most of the old equipment has remained.

In the town of Skierkowizna, there is the Parish of St. Andrew Bobola. The church in Skierkowizna is one of the youngest historic temples in Mazovia. In the 19th century, the faithful from Skierkowizna, in order to get to their parish church in Przasnysz, had to travel 15 km one way. In order to create better conditions for them to reach the church, Fr. Kazimierz Gwiazda - the then vicar from Przasnysz decided to build a temple. The church was brought from Janów. In the 1930s, a brick church was built there, and the previous wooden one turned out to be unnecessary. In 1936, Fr. Kazimierz Gwiazda bought the building from the Janów parish and transported it to Skierkowizna, placing it on donated land. The church itself (as a building) is 100 years old - it was built in 1917, the year of the apparitions in Fatima. The parish was established in September 1938 by the then bishop of Płock, Blessed Antoni Julian Nowowiejski, a martyr from Dachau. The parish owes its amazing appearance to the late Father Sylwester Szadkowski, a former parish priest who worked here for 36 years. For me, this is a very, very interesting place that can be considered an "attraction". After all, instead of this square, you could have pointed to a sacred object and written something about it.

The parish church, which "in the Gothic style, [was] built by Jakub Poczta, castellan of Ciechanów, in 1398. The legend says that Jakub Poczta, hunting in the place where the present church is, killed a deer and found a cross fused from horn bone between the antlers and in memory built at first a statue, later a chapel and a church. These antlers still hang in the church and are exceptionally large [Currently, there are no antlers in the church, because they burned down in 1915 during a church fire]. The church is now in good condition, brick and large, renovated in 1856, stands on a hill opposite the palace and windmill, also built on the mountains. Great square around the church. It seems too big for an extremely sleepy town. A good place to relax in a hammock or on the grass.
