One of the most architecturally interesting old villas in Milanówek. Built in a castle style in 1905, two representative villas for families connected to Warsaw financiers: the first for Wilhelm Wellisch, the second for Jerzy Meyer. The villas were designed in a historicist style, with neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance elements. Interestingly, for the beginning of the 20th century, the buildings were very modern: they had central heating, electricity, and sewage systems. Currently, the villas are abandoned and in poor condition, they require renovation, and it is strange that no one has done it yet.

The history of Stawisko began with a family gift. Anna Lilpop received the estate from her father, Stanisław Wilhelm Lilpop, in connection with her marriage to Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz in 1922. The couple moved here in 1928. The house became their most important living space until the writer's death in 1980. After his death, in accordance with his will, the property was handed over to the state and a museum was established.
