This is where you go to the mainland. "Don't pay the ferryman" didn't work. Tickets for €5.60, including bike, are available at the terminal.

Challenging path compared to the road via the signage. Good footwear is required due to loose stones.

I had to give up on the last 70 meters of elevation gain. It's really very difficult to scramble up there. Impossible without hiking boots.

Cross the river directly by bike without a car. It's cheap, easy, and worthwhile. Or rent bikes directly at the port in Preko.

Up to this point, the path was still manageable, but then it became too rocky. The rocks were very uneven, sharp, and in places too high – too much of a risk for my dog. So I decided to turn back here. Safety first. 📍Tip: If you're hiking with a dog, it's best to avoid this section or only continue with very sure-footed four-legged friends.

With a shady rest area before going up... A few meters before the highest point it gets really steep, in combination with the loose ground, most people have to push briefly if the gear ratio is not optimal.
