The red passage near Tversted is currently (early June 2026) not passable due to fallen trees. A pity!

A wonderful relic from earlier days, it's very popular today and can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. The stairs are quite narrow, so watch out for oncoming traffic.

The large lake is very pretty, the others (towards the beach) are unfortunately overgrown (July '25).

Skagen is a port town at the northern end of Denmark's Jutland peninsula. Skagens Museum, near the marina, contains works by the Skagen Painters, who were inspired by the region's light and landscape. The local history archive in the former courthouse provides information on the town's history and maritime heritage. Grenen Beach, on the northeastern outskirts of Skagen, is where the Skagerrak and Kattegat sea areas meet.

The route is completely different to what you see on Komoot and much longer. Beautiful, challenging, winding trail with some sudden drops and jumps. You should be able to ride a bit and drive carefully. The landscape is very interesting between meadows and (Spessart-like 😉) forests. It's worth it!
