A peaceful forest trail winding through the woodland of Gødding Skov. The soft forest ground and quiet surroundings make this a lovely stretch of the route—keep an eye out for wildlife along the way.

Once planted on open heathlands in the northern Randbøl Heath in 1809 and known as Gjødding Plantation, Gødding Skov has transformed into a diverse forest of spruce, beech, and oak. Hidden among its northern and south-western parts are hundreds of stone mounds — remnants of 2,500-year-old field systems from the Early Iron Age, built from stones cleared by farmers to cultivate the soil. The ancient Oxen or Army Road crosses the area, leaving behind sunken tracks and over 20 burial mounds along its path. At the heart of the forest stands Kæltringhøj, an impressive Bronze Age burial mound rising 5 meter high with a diameter of 45 meter. A striking testament to the area’s deep history.

The small Lake Vingsted is located on the edge of the Vejle Ådal valley. It is one of 25 Iron Age lakes and bogs in Denmark designated to “weapons offering ceremones”. Humans used to offer large quantities of valuable weapons and equipment to the lakes, after defeating invading armies.

It's a shame it closes early. You definitely won't be able to visit Legoland and Lego House in one day.

These five pink marble sculptures called "Legekontrakten" (The Play Contract) were created with the aim of bringing everyone - children and adults - together to play together. Regardless of culture and age. The Play Contract was created by SUPERFLEX together with KWY.studio and 122 children from Billund.
