The icing on the cake of this magnificent landscape is, of course, a flowering heath, so it's best to cross it in August.

THE house in Center Parcs. If you haven't been here, you haven't really seen the park.

An old, impressive heath church, the new stained glass windows suit it well, open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Easter and Advent, today also earlier

The Ole Kerk was built in 1353, making it the oldest church in the old district of Soltau. The builder was the Bishop of Verden. He promised 40 days of indulgence to anyone who did manual labor and hauling during the construction. The area was poor, so they built with fieldstones and half-timbering; bricks were too expensive. Most recently, the small fieldstone church was a confirmation hall until it was completely renovated in 1973 and structurally restored to its original state. Only the surrounding band of 16 leaded windows, which are reminiscent of water, baptism, fishing or calming of the storm, are a concession to modernity. The old bronze baptismal font (1406) and the baroque pulpit (1648) are now in the neo-Gothic St. Antonius Church in Bispingen. The fieldstone church, the old half-timbered rectory and the community center form an impressive ensemble with the new rectory and the old trees. https://www.bispingen.de/poi/ole-kerk https://kirche-bispingen.de/index.php/ole-kerk

The field stone church "Ole Kerk", built in 1353, has already celebrated its 650th anniversary. Throughout the centuries, Christians from Bispingen met here for church services. At the beginning of the 20th century, a nice problem arose: this old stone church - despite the galleries it had at the time - could no longer accommodate the entire Sunday congregation. A painting in the entrance area gives an impression of the design of the church at that time. The “Ole Kerk” has been a “reliably open church” for many years. Inside you can consciously experience the silence and the special atmosphere of this building.
