Going to lump a lot of things together here as one highlight. There is a pioneer cabin, a historic mill site, lots of historical placks. Plus a bunch of ice cream, chocolate, and candy stores. A hopping bar and grill with a big patio in the back, which I didn't realize from the main street side. Neat place, first time I have stopped for a few minutes here. Usually I'm trying to get to one of the parks north of here.

Square Lake Park is part of the Washington County park system, so you need a parking pass if you are driving here. The lake is clear and deep in the center. It's used for dive training. It's also a great lake for paddleboarding. It was on my list of things to do today, but I was worried it might be too windy. Didn't look like it when I got there.

Always good to know where a bike shop is in case of repairs or to go shopping! Wasn't open on a late Sunday afternoon, but not surprising there. Looked at the website, looks nice.

I'll have to stop back sometime when I'm not on my bike, it looks like they have nice wood trip trails through the woods around a small pond. I saw some bridges back in there and stuff. Didn't want to walk my bike through it, and didn't know if it was legal to ride, plus wood chips would fly all over the place!

Quite an eclectic looking place with a lot of garden art, bird feeders, grilling supplies, etc. It stands out for sure!

This place was hopping as I pedaled past! Lots of outdoor seating and one of the few places in Scandia to eat. Now that I have looked at the menu, I want to stop next time I'm in the area! House cut fries, Italian Dunkers, great looking burgers, Ellsworth fried cheese curds, yum!

The museum building itself was not open today on a Sunday late afternoon and the cabin is being renovated so you can't get near it. But it was still nice to walk around the grounds and read the signs about all the historic buildings that are here.
