Lovely little restaurant that can be a destination or just a stop along many trails. Nice sunny patio in the summer. Dog friendly. I see hikers and mountain bikers stopping here. The spinach dumplings are very delicious!

During my bike tour, the ferry crossing offers a welcome change. Those who usually only cross bridges experience something very special here: The beautiful view comes as a bonus and makes the journey an unforgettable experience. The gentle rocking of the ferry, the splashing of the water, and the wide view over the Danube are a wonderful addition to the otherwise cycling experience. You can use the waiting time at the pier to take great photos and enjoy the tranquility. Thus, the crossing will not only take you from A to B, but will become a small break that refreshes body and mind, perfect for anyone who is out and about by bike and wants to discover new things.

Failed in 2022 and also today on the 2nd attempt on the extremely rough, washed-out ground on the steep (according to map 18%) incline - had to use push assistance again

Best to avoid, quite grumpy and unfriendly personnel. Besides you can cross the river for free at the dam just a little but upstream 😉
