Head up to the first reservoir before coming to the gate where you bear right and head up to the sheep track

Feels less impressive somehow on an overcast day - and the fact you're routed by it on the way to Hebden Bridge with nary a mention means you could miss it - but definitely one tick off!

The section on the photo is great on a gravel bike. I took the photo, further on it can get muddy and rutted in places due to illegal motorcycle riding. I'm sure there are people on kamoot writing tips and recommending highlights they have never been to.

This is a mile-long tunnel locates on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It is the longest tunnel on the canal and due to its narrow design boats would once be legged through it. This is a risky practice where people would walk along the tunnel walls pulling the boats. Today, access to the tunnel is managed through timed light signals to ensure safe passage.

When we arrived the chef had already left. However the fabulous bar person "Sam" went out of her way and made us hot sandwiches and chips. She was fabulous and the food was delicious
