Brutal. Go around the wrong side of the road and plead forgiveness to the motorists (good luck with that). Take care coming down. With lots of gravel on the road

What a fantastic tea room. Stopped for a break and lunch on the Dales Way. They had stopped serving food by the time we arrived but rustled us up a sandwich for our journey so very grateful! Worth a stop and lovely friendly owners.

The road between Barden and Burnsall on the B6160 is pretty gorgeous with typical Yorkshire scenery. The views out towards Appletreewick and the river Wharfe are pretty pleasing to the eye and are just a reminder as to how beautiful Yorkshire is. No wonder this county has produced so many noted cyclists at world level.

This is a fantastic place to stop at for some food and drink on your walk. Rather obviously (from the tearoom's name), this used to be a school. It dates to 1874, and you will see here a restored old school clock. A wonderful view of the Hebden Beck from the outside, and also pigs, hens and goats to be met! There is also a play park next door, so this is a great place to go if you are with children. Sit and enjoy!
