This is on my regular Sunday morning loop - please note that after heavy rain or outside of summer months this gets quite deep and often the road itself is closed due to flooding. It’s passable on a bike even when the road is closed but you will get wet feet. There is an alternative route from Bradley to Church Eaton on the road from Haughton - just head north from Bradley to Haughton then south to Church Eaton - this road passes the point where you would have exited the flooded road just after crossing the ford.

An utterly wonderful café with a breakfast menu and lunch menu. Eggs Benedict for late breakfast are amazing. Open Tuesday to Saturday. See its Facebook page for announcements like private party bookings.

Speedwell Castle is a mid-18th-century house at the centre of Brewood, in Staffordshire, England. Nikolaus Pevsner described it as a "peach" and a "delectable folly", and it stands beside the village market place, at the head of a T-junction on Bargate Street, facing onto Stafford Street. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedwell_Castle

Great little Cafe with friendly staff. Although on the main road, cyclists can take their bikes round the back of the cafe. Enter by the side of the barbers next door.

Generally quiet road ( except during rush hour or when there are events on at Canton Hall ) some nice views of the Trent near Walton, or earlier if its Winter and flooded. The Trent is on one side and the Mease is on the other. Nice rolling but potholes

The Cannock Chase German Military Cemetery is the largest German military cemetery in the United Kingdom. The Cemetery contains the graves of nearly 5,000 German nationals who lost their lives in the UK during the First and Second World Wars. The fallen were gathered from cemeteries across the UK in the 1960s, and include the crews from four Zeppelin airships. The grounds of the Cemetery are exceptionally well maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The Cemetery is tranquil and thought-provoking and is well worth a visit. There are also informative guided tours that explain who is buried and that recount the stories of individual notable graves.

No problem ford with bridge to the side. Note I went during a dry spell so presumably Ford was quite low, but still didn't want to ride through. Small footbridge to side of ford.
