A section of woodland path following a leat built in the 1800s to divert water in the area's lead mining industry. The trail winds through deciduous woodland, under the slopes of the nearby Moel Famau - offering some great running terrain.

Grassy Plateau with a seat, high above Loggerheads Country Park with magnificent views across the valley. Long section of very steep steps to get up there, unless you come from the Pantymwyn village direction

A pretty little village built along the road. Scenic cottages, a nice village green, and (most importantly) a decent pub!

Coed Nercwys is a 322 acre forest covered in multi-use tracks. It provides an excellent place to get away from the traffic and have an explore on some generally well maintained trails. There's nothing remotely technical here; the main trail through the forest is mostly asphalt, but the others are dirt, so they can get a little muddy. If you care to explore a little, you might find Bronze Age burials mounds and ancient mines, or nightjars, long-eared owls or great crested newts.
