The lock chamber holds 17,000 m³ of water and is 300 m long and 12 m wide. In approximately 10 minutes, ships overcome a water level difference of up to 4.3 meters. Three ships with a gross tonnage of over 1,000 can be locked through simultaneously. Source: https://himmelstadt.de/leben-erleben/freizeit-tourismus/sehenswertes/schleuse/
