September 12, 2021, Kyrkjesteinskaret Pass

This is not so easy. There is no way, the chunks are 5m tall and that goes on for an hour, for ONE km. The ice field is completely submerged, so it's better not to set foot on it.

At the beginning of September 21 so dry that no more water in the river bed and therefore none from the hose at the hut. A little further away there was just enough water in a stream.

Whatever the name of the forest, if it has its own name ... in any case, this moss-covered, enchanted birch forest has a fantastic atmosphere! An exciting change of scenery.

Surrounded by enchanted birch forest, here are several, sometimes historic, huts on a picturesque meadow near the river. Once horses were traded here. The small red hut is the oldest of the tourism association Starvanger, was built in 1891 and renovated in 2001 and freshly painted shortly before our visit (2019). Especially this small hut (4 beds + mattress under the gable) is certainly the most beautiful hut in the region !! If you are fortunate enough to have this cabin as a couple for yourself, the evening becomes wonderfully romantic in the light of the fire that falls through the glass of the fireplace. Maybe you put mattresses in front of the fireplace, if you do not fit together in the narrow bunk bed ...;) Website (Norwegian only): https://ut.no/hytte/101027/bleskestadmoen
