The Isar valley between Wallgau and Vorderriss is considered one of the last wild river landscapes in Germany. Trees and bushes are uprooted and swept away by the foaming floods, and when the water level drops they remain on the banks. It is not without reason that this section is also known as "Little Canada". Since the tarred road is a toll road for cars, cyclists have comparatively little traffic here and at the same time some wonderful views of the Isar. The Sylvensteinsee (also known as the Sylvenstein reservoir or Sylvensteinstausee) is located in the very south of Bavaria. It is a reservoir on the Isar. Like a natural lake, the Bavarian fjord blends into the landscape at the foot of the Karwendel. There used to be a village where the water is now. There is even a bridge across the lake.
