The glassmaking settlement of Kristiánov was located in the Jizera Mountains, northeast of Bedřichov, at the foot of Černá hora, at an altitude of approx. 800 m. In the mid-1770s, the glassmaking entrepreneur Johann Leopold Riedel built a glassworks there, around which a settlement grew, which also included a manor house, several glassmakers' cottages, a cemetery, and a school. In honor of the owner of the Liberec estate, Count Christian Philipp Clam-Gallas, who provided the land for the founding of the glassworks, the settlement was named Christianstal – Kristiánov.

Peat bog with ponds and lakes on the Na Čihadle mountain ridge; this nature reserve is freely accessible via wooden walkways; located directly on the Jizera Mountains main road; diverse flora and fauna - e.g. spruce trees, round-leaved sundew, etc. (the main paths in the mountains are often asphalted so that they are suitable for racing bikes, or alternatively paved with concrete slabs on short sections);
