A straight, easy forest path with soft ground and plenty of shade. A calm stretch of the reserve that’s great for walking or running and gives a nice feel for the surrounding woodland.

The church itself has a history that stretches back to the 13th century, with significant renovations over the years. However, what makes this stop particularly special is the well-preserved runestone from the Viking Age. I think you'll appreciate seeing this tangible link to a bygone era right there in the churchyard.

The Baltic Sea on the right side from Ystad. You have to leave the path and go along the forest paths. The cycle path along the asphalt road to Ales Stenar on one side of the road, similarly back. After about 10 km from Ystad the cycle path turns into a regular road, so it is good to have a reflective vest.

Larger herds that you tend to disturb as a runner. It's better to take the path along the outside, you'll end up on that anyway.
