The Hexenstieg trail zigzags up the mountain to the Hexentanzplatz (Witches' Dance Place) above Thale. It's mostly rocky and stony. I recommend sturdy footwear. The views along the way are definitely worth it!

The view is truly spectacular. I recommend the seats overlooking the valley. You can get very close to the rocks at times, and these moments are the real photo hotspots.

The small, narrow section of the bike path along the Bode River, past the Teufelsmauerstieg (Devil's Wall Trail), is currently impassable due to a fallen tree. Those with enough strength can lift their bikes over it.
