In the middle of the complete wilderness, such a small sign of culture, Wow!!! At least you can sit here and take a short break. I couldn't spot the dog named on the information board (after which the Hunt-Steindings is supposed to be named). But the roll was delicious :-)

The flower hall in Wiesmoor, together with the adjacent garden park, forms the "Flower Kingdom." The water organ is a captivating sight upon entering the hall. The varied and attractively designed hall invites visitors to marvel and linger, as does the garden park.

My recommendation: take a hydration pack and everything you need with you; it can be quite lonely at times on the trail 😉 At night it's an absolute highlight when it comes to nocturnal animals.

Marcardsmoor was to be a purely arable farm based on the German raised bog culture. This was the plan of the Royal General Commission. The profitability of this approach was by no means clear at the outset, as it was a pilot project. Therefore, a conscious risk was taken.

One of several bridges on the Spetzerfehn Canal, here at the Hauptwieke. These bascule bridges are always a great photo opportunity, even though several of them need to be renovated.
