The hut is located directly on the Seensteig trail, but otherwise beautifully secluded, with no forest highway next to it. I found shelter here during a summer thunderstorm and even spent the night. Unfortunately, the floor is quite dirty because there's no door, and no broom either. The benches are numerous, but narrow and fixed. But you can push the tables together... At least the lack of a door kept it from being so hot. Of course, that's a disadvantage in cooler weather, and making fires is prohibited. But at least the rain doesn't get in thanks to the canopy. There are, however, rodents (possibly dormice) that romp around on the ceiling and in the partition walls, making noise. That only lasted for an hour, though, and then it was quiet – apart from the tawny owl ;o)

It is very well equipped and newly furnished. It is a good place to rest before descending into the Tonbach valley. Very nicely located.

A rustic shelter in the forest that invites you to take a rest. You can usually find a place to rest here.

Large, actually unexciting rest area with no view. Hikers and mountain bikers often meet here for a rest.
