May 23, 2025, St. George's Church Warsow

The Warsow Church is a Gothic building and the oldest church in the Stralendorf district, probably built in the 12th or 13th century. The interior is brick-walled. The ceiling was originally vaulted. Its choir is constructed from an octagon, and its tower is extended into the single-nave space in such a way that it appears to grow out of the roof. Its retaining walls stand at the bottom of the church and divide the front part of the nave into three parts. The tower supports an octagonal pyramid covered with slate. In 1863, the windows were enlarged, thus depriving them of their original form. In 1891/1892, the church was expanded and its interior renovated. In the 1970s, work on the roof and interior became necessary, resulting in the loss of some of the wood paneling. A baptismal font, pulpit, and pews from 1892 have been preserved, as has the old carved altar screen on the north side. During the renovations from 1974 to 1976, a simple altar table was installed.

The Perlin village church is a remarkable example of North German church architecture. Built in the mid-13th century, the church is a towerless fieldstone church with a characteristic dome-shaped vault in the choir area.

February 11, 2023, Schloss Lützow

From the 14th to the 17th century, the estate belonged to the eponymous von Lützow family. Under the von Behrs, who took over the estate in 1846 and were joined by the von Bassewitz family through marriage in 1866, the magnificent manor house with towers, battlements, decorative gables and bay windows was built in 1876. A mausoleum of the Behr family was built in the extensive park before 1850. The park extends to the railway line, which explains its post-war use: After 1945, the castle was initially used as refugee accommodation, then until 1991 as a Reichsbahn school. From 1992, the house stood empty for almost ten years until a new owner began renovation in 2003 and now uses the property privately. https://www.mecksikon.de/?p=article&aid=237
