Darby Store Cultural Park sits at a historic crossroads in Beallsville. Built in 1910, this old general store served local farmers and neighbors for over 50 years, even housing the post office in the 1920s. It’s one of the few remaining rural stores from that era in Montgomery County—worth a quick stop if you’re riding by.

The Black Hill Trail in Maryland winds through the scenic landscapes of Black Hill Regional Park, offering peaceful views of Little Seneca Lake and lush woodland surroundings. It's a moderately easy trail, ideal for walking, running, or biking, with gentle inclines and plenty of shaded stretches. Wildlife sightings are common, and in the fall, the foliage turns the path into a colourful, quiet retreat just outside of Germantown.

The coffee shop is definitely biker friendly, they have a bottle fill fountain inside, coffee and energy for the return trip and have a foot pump to top up!

You wouldn't think so, but this lake is fairly new, created in 1984 to supply drinking water to the surrounding area. It's surrounded by the wonderful nature of Black Hill Regional Park. The lake is stocked with many fish species for fishing such as catfish, bass and sunfish.
