Located on the Schlossberg in Hohenlimburg in North Rhine-Westphalia, the ensemble of town and castle is also called the Westphalian Heidelberg because of its picturesque location. Lenne Bridge to Hohenlimburg. Here you come to the cycle paths on the other side

This pedestrian bridge call old Hohenlimburg chain bridge. It shortened the walk from Elsey to downtown Hohenlimburg (formerly Limburg). I still know the previous bridge with wooden planks, but there were no chains to be seen. It was also used by workers for their company, e.g. Göke&Sohn (textile factory) or Bilstein (cold rolling mill). Below next to the bridge in a south-eastern direction was once the Hohenlimburg fairground. It was always nice in the 70's and 80's

Admission to the turnstile costs €4 per head (regardless of whether it is an adult or a child). I personally don't think it's justified. The "Schlossgarten" offers absolutely nothing apart from a beautiful panorama over Hohenlimburg and Hagen. There is more wild vegetation than well-tended palace complexes. There is no access to the inner courtyard. Furthermore, entering with a stroller, walker or even wheelchair is not possible at all through the tiny turnstile. The forest above the castle offers so much more 😉!
