South Centennial Drive hugs the eastern shoreline of Horsetooth Reservoir, revealing wide open views of the water. The reservoir was created in the 1930s to address to create a consistent water supply for Fort Collins. The area is a hive of activity with swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing happening on the water and an amazing bouldering spot close by.

Overlooking the water and foothills from a high point Sunrise Picnic Area is a scenic spot on the northeastern side of Horsetooth Reservoir. The Masonville Mercantile is a quirky general store in the tiny town of Masonville just southwest of Fort Collins. Although they sell all sorts of items from wedding dresses to cowboy hats, they also do sell snacks and drinks for a quick refuel on your ride. There is a porta-potty that you can use outside of the store.

Spring Canyon Park is nestled at the base of the foothills below Horsetooth Reservoir between Taft Hill Road and Overland Trail Road.
