Better known as Sclassin Castle, it was built in 1587 by order of Christian de Woestenraedt and his wife, Marie de Haultepenne, who was the lady of Sclassin (a village near Daverdisse). Hence the name. Originally, it was a fully moated castle with a drawbridge. The moat was later partially filled in, and the drawbridge was replaced by a stone bridge.

Truly one of the nicest, most beautiful and finest climbs in the Belgian Ardennes. The condition of the road surface is great, no traffic encountered and the road winds nicely upwards. Nowhere really steep and therefore it goes up nicely. You The surroundings are beautiful and you sometimes have beautiful views. Really recommended to definitely include in your route! The only disadvantage is the spur haha, that is a 'boring piece'

The oldest buildings of this castle still exist and are integrated into the walls of the farm. One stone is dated 1586.
