Beautiful resting place at a spring with many picnic benches in an attractive forest area. In the 19th century, entire balls were held here on Sundays, people gathered for dancing and picnics. Today it is usually a bit quieter here.

Some oaks over 300 years old form a veritable tree cathedral here. The most famous tree, the Chêne Boppe, no longer exists due to a lightning strike in 1934, but the stump can still be admired. Other impressive trees with names like Chêne Muriel, Chêne Auriel, and Chêne Potel are the stars of today, with an estimated age of approx. 355 years.

This nice museum for the whole family explains the nature and use of the nearby Bercé forest, one of the oldest oak forests in France. All senses are involved. Local crafts are also featured.

Very beautiful hike. A downside on a really natural section (off-piste) but otherwise a beautiful varied route, the majestic oaks, beautiful sunken paths which must keep the cool even in the heat of summer, the difference in altitude, the streams... in short, the very beautiful atmosphere of the Bercé forest

The Loir gives this city an undeniable charm. The river crosses the city in several places, inviting you to stroll. Known for its numerous flea markets, La Charte-sur-Loir was also sung about by the poet Ronsard during the 16th century.
