For a shelter, the food is quite good, especially the sweet snacks - cheesecake, apple pie, normal prices, quite crowded in season and it's better to book accommodation in advance. In good weather, you can eat a meal outside with a beautiful free view of the Tatra Mountains.

I recommend it off-season, otherwise there will be wild crowds of pedestrians

The climb from Szczawnica is short but quite steep, so if you don't like to get tired, the cable car is your only chance to get to Palenica.

A very well-known spa town in the Pieniny Mountains (southern Poland). There are numerous bike and mountain bike rentals here. And the potential is enormous, whether to Slovakia via the beautiful Dunajec Gorge or to Radziejowa Mountain, which stands at 1,266 meters and offers a magnificent panorama. On the local mountain, Palenica, at 722 meters, there are accessible mountain bike descents on singletrack. You can then take the chairlift up.
