This is an active field airport (I don't know who described it as former). A wide strip of land serves as an airport for DROMADER firefighting aircraft (one is stationed at the Aeroklub ROW airport in Rybnik). The airport is located amidst forests and, as a curiosity, there are also water tankers located on it (on elevations - mounds, so that water can be gravity-fed for aircraft participating in firefighting operations). Of course, there is no control tower or service there - you won't be flying on vacation from this airport either, but during a fire - I assure you, things will be happening there...
