The town hall in Nowogard is located at Plac Wolności, on the southern frontage of the former market square. The current building was erected in 1911 according to the design of master builder Berg. It is a two-story, brick and plastered structure, covered with a mansard roof with a characteristic clock tower. The architecture of the town hall combines Baroque inspirations with modernist details and Art Deco elements. The main entrance from the market side is decorated with two semi-columns. Earlier seats of the municipal authorities were located in the middle of the market, and their history dates back to at least the 16th century. The building still serves as the seat of the local government of Nowogard today.

Lake Nowogardzkie is a picturesque glacial lake located in the center of Nowogard, in the Goleniów County. It covers about 95–100 ha, is approximately 2.4 km long, and has a maximum depth of nearly 11 meters. Its shores connect urban development with green areas, and on the city side, fragments of medieval defensive walls from the 14th century have been preserved. By the lake, there is a municipal beach and recreational infrastructure, and the northwestern shores border the "Sarni Las" nature and landscape complex. Around the lake, there is a nature trail for cyclists and pedestrians.

The new church in Płoty was built in 1904 after the renovation of the old one, located in the market square, was deemed unprofitable. Part of the land for the church's construction was donated by the owner of the nearby castle, Karl von der Osten. He also financed the larger part of the construction costs. After the new church was built, the old one was demolished.
