At this section of the trail, the intersection of the cycle path and the main road is truly worth seeing. Furthermore, the cycle path is not yet fully completed. The Sava Bohinjka River has a dam in this area, creating remarkable reflections in the water when the sun shines.

Cycle Highway of the Future The route from Bled to Bohinjska Bistrica is world-class in the section between Obme and Bohinjska Bistrica (only a small section is still awaiting completion). It is a two-car-wide, paved cycle highway, reserved exclusively for cyclists. No ruts, no potholes. The route winds alongside the Sava Bohinjka and vertical rock faces, secured with wooden railings in exposed sections, and passes under railway bridges. There are also numerous rest areas in shady spots, many small weirs on the Sava Bohinjka with small waterfalls, small lakes, and bathing bays. The reflections of the water from the sun shining into the valley create a natural play of colors. Kilometer markers are painted into the asphalt. The gradient is a constant up and down, with some long straight stretches. All in all: one of the best cycle paths I know, and one through a valley worth seeing.
