This is by far my favourite swim spot around Lillesand. It ticks all boxes you could think of. Easy access, sand and rocks, clear sweetwater, shallow area for kids and deep for springboard fans, shade and sun, scenic view, clean due to the litter box, perfectly embedded in the beautiful lake and last but not least: A duck family swimming next to you not being afraid of human beings, otherwise you might be lucky and have it for myself.

BUA Lillesand operates a kayak rack in this place, which offers the opportunity to get onto the lakes. Make sure you also rent the required safety equipment before heading out. No other infrastructure is available.

If you're heading towards Kristiansand, cross the Mollestad bridge and take the other side of the river towards Boen. Less traffic and more interesting road. You could also stop by Mollestadeika (The Mollestad Oak) which is one of the oldest trees in Norway.
