In 1939, there was a mill in Stare Brusno. The water probably cascaded here at first, and then formed a waterfall. An interesting, unusual place. If you're hiking nearby on the blue trail, it's worth detouring and taking a look.

First of all, Stare Brusno (the village) no longer exists. The population was evicted between 1944 and 1947. To this day, the remains of the former cemetery (many of Stare Brusno's residents were stonemasons) and the Orthodox church remain, overgrown with forest, giving them a uniquely historic and mystical character.

Brilliant place! Great road! Very pleasant, gentle climb. I have driven in this area many times and never turned down this road :) only now I saw this place marked on Komoot as a "tourist attraction" and decided to investigate :) Many thanks for that! :) And if someone doesn't like driving there and back and wonders if the road is a dead end, it is not. At the top of the climb it changes from a pleasant asphalt to a slightly less pleasant one - covered with concrete mesh slabs. On road tires it is easy to ride, but if they are narrow (25-28 mm), it will shake us up a bit more. The section on slabs is 2 km long and leads to the village of Pawliszcze, so continuing on the slabs to the end we turn left, we have a poor quality road in Pawliszcze, then Huta Lubycka, Wola Wielka and we can continue wherever our imagination takes us :)

The ascent is 4.5 km long and gentle, with only 90 m of elevation to overcome. The average gradient is 2.3%. A nice forest road with good asphalt, with minimal car traffic. The ascent ends at Długi Goraj (391 m), the highest peak in the Polish part of Roztocze.

A world-class facility, entered in 2013 on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The place is worth visiting with Mr. Ryszard - a guide. The church from the end of the 16th century was built without the use of nails. Entry at designated hours and only in the presence of a guide - so it is worth finding out in advance how accessible the facility is on a given day.
