We walked past here in September 2025 but sadly the waterfall was totally dry and not running even tho it had been a very rainy week. A lot of the vegetation around it has also been cut.

Absolutely! Key waterfalls to discover include the Tillingbourne Waterfall, The Cascade Waterfall in Windsor Great Park, The Old Mill House and Waterfall, and the River Wey Waterfalls near Godalming. Each offers a unique natural spectacle.
While Surrey's waterfalls are beautiful year-round, they are often at their most impressive after periods of rain, typically in autumn and winter, when water flow is strongest. Spring and summer offer lush greenery and pleasant hiking conditions, though the waterfalls might be less powerful.
Many trails offer a combination of natural beauty and historical sites. For example, the Friday Street Mill Pond – Leith Hill Tower and Viewpoint loop from Abinger not only features the mill pond but also leads to Leith Hill Tower, offering stunning panoramic views.
Many of Surrey's trails, including those leading to waterfalls, are dog-friendly. However, it's always recommended to check specific trail regulations and keep dogs on a lead, especially in areas with livestock or sensitive wildlife. The extensive woodlands and open spaces provide ample opportunity for walks with your canine companion.
Given Surrey's varied terrain and often damp conditions near waterfalls, it's advisable to wear waterproof hiking boots with good grip. Layered clothing is recommended to adapt to changing weather, and a waterproof jacket is always a good idea, especially during cooler or wetter months.
