The nature reserve with the designation NSG BR 155 is approximately 12.5 hectares in size. It is part of the 648 hectare FFH area "Asse". To the south and east it borders on the landscape protection area "Asse, Klein Vahlberger Buchen and adjacent landscape parts", which has been incorporated into the nature reserve within the scope of the nature conservation ordinance, to the north and west it borders on the landscape protection area "Asse".
