Plattekill Creek feeds this man-made reservoir, which is held back by a small dam wall, which you can ride over via Reservoir Road. There are even some quaint cottages right here with great lakeside views should you choose to spend a night or two.

The trail leading to the Saugerties Lighthouse crosses a handful of boardwalks and bridges while navigating the wetlands separating the dry shore from the lighthouse. The trail is easy to follow and open every day from sun-up to sun-down. Being so short, a trip on the Lighthouse Trail is a nice addition to a longer run.
