I have no understanding for people who come up here and think, "ohh how nice, let's throw our sh**t away here." Why is this rare, special place so littered when there are garbage cans everywhere? PEOPLE, DON'T THROW YOUR GARBAGE INTO NATURE, WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU! WHICH BIRD SHITTED ON YOUR COUCH THAT YOU WANT TO TAKE REVENGE?! Otherwise a very beautiful spot and a rare sight in this area. Treat it with a little respect please :)

A very beautiful park. The 32-hectare park, freely accessible, surrounding Rauischholzhausen Castle, is a great destination for a tour or a stopover.

The Perft Reservoir (Perfstausee) also offers a stroller-friendly 3-kilometer circular path and activities like beach volleyball and disc golf, making it suitable for family outings.
The Perfstausee is excellent for non-motorized water sports, including canoeing, kayaking, rowing, pedalo, folding boats, inflatable boats, and sailing (for boats up to 4m). Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is also popular, with rentals available. The Aartalsee offers a wide range of water-based activities such as sailing, surfing, and fishing.
Yes, dogs are permitted on a leash around the Perfstausee. Additionally, the Diabassee (Kohlenacker Quarry) is noted as dog-friendly within its highlight description.
