Schloss Ulriksholm is an idyllic Renaissance manor house just a few kilometers from Kerteminde. It is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Kerteminde Nor bay and is considered one of the most historic places in the region. The castle was named after one of Christian IV's illegitimate sons. The castle is privately owned today and is not regularly open to the public. An exception is made for occasional garden events and the "Herregårdsspil" performances (Danish open-air summer theatre), where visitors are allowed to enter the grounds. You can find out when these performances take place via Facebook.

Risinge Manor makes a lovely cycling pause between Nyborg and Kerteminde. Its half-timbered buildings and distinctive tower bring a dash of old-world character to your adventure, while the surrounding woodland and coastline add plenty of calm, green scenery. This is a good spot to slow down and take in the landscape, and if you really like the place, you can stay overnight as the estate is now a Bed & Breakfast.

It was really fun to try out the old bikes. A lovely opportunity to take a short break, have coffee and cake, and look around the old house a bit.

Kerteminde North Beach | Funen's Best Beach The North Beach is the most popular beach in Kerteminde. People flock to the beach from near and far to enjoy the fresh seawater of the Great Belt. The beach is mainly sandy, while the beach further north, towards Hindsholmvej, is lined with beautiful villas. Grass and beach reeds grow there. The North Beach is a distinctive sandy beach with many sandbanks. This means that the water only gets deep further out from the beach. This makes the beach very child-friendly. Approximately in the middle of the beach is a parking lot and a kiosk selling various refreshments. In the southern part of the beach is a miniature golf course. There is also a bathing jetty, courts for beach volleyball and handball, and, of course, restrooms. A smooth bike path runs alongside the road on the beach, where you can cycle with beautiful views of the beach. https://www.visitkerteminde.de/kerteminde/reiseplanung/kerteminde-nordstrand-gdk613494

St. Lawrence's Church is located in the middle of Kerteminde's market square. The nave of the three-aisled church is located under a massive roof structure. According to records, the church was built in 1476. Major structural changes were made in the 17th century – the church received a vault and the interior was renovated. On the south side of the choir is the burial chapel of the Iuel family; on the opposite wall is a plaque commemorating two of the church's pastors. A pair of knight's boots and a sword from the time of the Swedish War are on display. https://www.visitkerteminde.de/kerteminde/reiseplanung/kerteminde-kirche-skt-laurentii-kirche-gdk613548
