The highlight of hiking at Cypress Point Park is getting to the beach areas. The paved trails lead to small spur trails in the back that lead right to the waters. It's nice to hike through the park in the morning and get to the beach in time for sunrise; there really aren't crowds in the park at this time of day.

Town 'N Country Greenway is a completely paved path on the north side of Tampa. It follows the creek basically the whole time and crosses several bridges. Of all the greenbelts around the city, this is one of the lesser visited ones and is great for running without the constant starting and stopping that comes with sidewalk running.

The Town n Country Greenway is a pleasant, non-motorized greenway right in the middle of Tampa. The relative lack of trailhead parking can be confusing, but you can access the trail in several places including the Shimberg Sports Complex, from the east side of Hanley Road between Hillsborough and Waters avenues, and from Webb Road, where there is a parking lot just south of Woodbridge Boulevard.
