Lake Roland Park is over 500 acres of woodland, wetlands, serpentine barrens, rare plants, and rocky plateaus surrounding Lake Roland. There is a lot of history here. In the early colonial years, land grants from Lord Baltimore were made to a few Maryland families. The remnants of that are found here, with few ruins found in the area; some are not much to see more than a pile of bricks now, but keep your eyes peeled for a little bit of history on these hiking trails.
