It is usually pretty quiet back here not too many people very dog friendly. The trails are pretty wide and there’s only a slightly steep section here and there, but overall very easy to walk with kids or even older people. It’s always just a nice peaceful experience here.

This is where Henry Hudson first anchored his ship when he came to America and sent one of his sailors up onto land only to be shot in the chest by an arrow from the local Indian tribe. Within some hours, they figured out how to communicate with the Indian Indians and the Indian showed him a natural spring for them to refill their water jugs. They went up the Hudson River and the Hudson and that is why it is called the Henry Hudson River. Little bit of history here at the Jersey shore.

Super awesome bike shop. It was originally the post office back in the 50’s or 60’s (?)… now is a locally owned bike shop with some of Lance Armstrong’s old TDF bikes on display. Great people, awesome atmosphere. They have all sorts of stuff there and good mechanics as well.
