Phoenix Park Bridge is the starting point of Chippewa River State Trail and crosses the river of the same name. The bridge's special feature is, that it can be illuminated in the color of your choice for a fee. A very special way to convey your message.

This trail seems to be off of most people's radar in the Eau Claire area. It's right in between Eau Claire and Altoona and while you can hear the sound of the highway, it's a gorgeous hike that winds along right next to the creek. Especially beautiful in the winter. Bring hot cocoa.
